Made according to Chinese Patent No.ZL2018 1137 4053.4, Steel wire HardTape is a woven steel cord fabric that has been designed to reinforce road engineering projects. Its structure consists of longitudinal steel cords that are woven together with transversal steel cords forming a high tensile strength, impact and cut resistant steel wire industrial fabrics.
HardTape uses, in the longitudinal direction, brass-coated high tensile steel cords as warp for road purpose reinforcement,or other heavy-duty applications. In the transversal direction, high-tensile steel cords as weft offer trough ability and high-rigidity steel cords offer lateral stability.these two directions steel cord are woven into high-tensile,high-rigidity steel wire tape or fabrics as reinforcement for road,railway basement,water bank,bridge surface,etc.,different civil engineerings.
Thanks to HardTape 's special weaving technique and unique transversal reinforcement,this makes road highly resistant to different damages from traffic load-bearing,climate change,etc.
Neither warp nor weft direction steel cords are in any way deformed, but both lay perfectly straight all over the road length during weaving process and road pavement,all life long.

Simple resurfacing is only a temporary fix. When flexible asphalt pavements are exposed to repeated cyclical loads, rutting, pothole formation and fatigue cracking can occur. With increasing vehicle use and axle loads, this problem may also get worse. Simply resurfacing a problem pavement will only temporarily improve the situation as cracks from the underlying layers soon propagate into the new overlay, causing premature aging. This reflective cracking can also be a problem when asphalt overlays are placed on existing concrete pavements.

The reinforcement of asphalt pavements can produce a threefold increase in the service life of highway pavements by reducing fatigue, reflective, thermal and settlement cracking.
